Core Values | God’s Spirit
Our mission is to know and obey Jesus and train others to do the same…
…We will accomplish this through regular and intentional engagement with God’s Spirit, God’s Word, and God’s People.
As a church, we regularly and intentionally engage with God’s Spirit through the many forms of Worship:
Worship through
Singing
Worship through
Communion
Worship through
Giving
Worship through
Prayer
Worship through Signing
At Journey, we believe that music and song can be used as a means to acknowledge God as Lord and Jesus as Savior. Our Sunday service begins and ends with a time of worship through singing.
We do this because we see this being done by the first followers of Jesus in the Bible. During this time, if you are just checking things out and don’t wish to sing or stand, you are welcomed to do that as well. As you’ll read below, worship can be done in many different ways.

Worship through Communion
If you’re a guest at Journey or if you’re still exploring what it means to know and obey Jesus, we want you to know that we believe in worship through Communion. Whether you know it as the Lord’s Supper, the Eucharist or Communion, here at Journey we observe weekly Communion as an important reminder of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus.
In obedience, we remember His sacrifice by partaking of the emblems (that is the bread and the cup) which represent His body and His blood. If you attend a Sunday service, you will see that bread and juice are available at four stations - two in the front and two in the back of the Sanctuary - whenever it’s time to worship through Communion.
Worship through Giving
There is a time in our Sunday service that we call worship through giving. We call it that because we believe all that we have in life is given to us by God.
You are welcomed to participate in our time worship through giving by placing your gift in the basket when it’s passed during our Sunday service or you can give securely online by clicking the button below.

Worship through Prayer
We believe in the power of prayer and its importance in exercising our faith. During our Sunday service, you will notice that we pray together as a church, putting into practice the instructions Jesus gave us in Matthew 18:20.
We also invite anyone who is seeking more prayer time to visit our prayer room after the Sunday service. There, some of the Journey family meet to pray for specific needs. We also encourage each other to pray throughout the week.
If you have a specific prayer request, feel free to send us a message below.
