Journey Groups
Living on mission
Journey Christian Church’s mission is to know and obey Jesus and train others to do the same.
Journey Groups are a key way of getting connected in our church family! We grow deeper in our understanding of our faith and application of God’s Word in community. Jesus set the example by prioritizing moments with His disciples (Small Group) over moments with the crowds.
Journey Groups are the avenue through which cultivation of relationship with God and with each other takes place. It is our goal and desire to have every person that calls Journey their church home plug into a Journey Group to further their spiritual journey.

What are
JOURNEY Groups?
Journey Groups are small group gatherings that engage participants with the Mission and Core Values of Journey Christian Church while they work to deepen relationships through in-person and virtual environments.

We are created as social beings. Whethere in person or through technology, we will aim to regularly and intentionally engage with each other and maintain physical distancing.

How Our Core Values Fulfill the Mission through Journey Groups:
Journey Groups are designed to be a space where participants can be themselves and get to know others who are also on a similar spiritual journey.
The group is encouraged to speak into each other’s lives as they deepen in relationship.
Virtual Groups will use Google Hangouts, Facebook Messenger, or Zoom, to connect from anywhere.
Journey Group Guide
Journey in-person and virtual Groups will serve as growing environments for all participants to share, pray and discuss.
Share: A time to catch up and share how the week has gone.
Pray: A time to share prayer requests and pray for each other.
Discuss: A time to review and discuss, study, read scripture, and ask questions.

Discipleship Huddles
Our mission is to know and obey Jesus and train others to do the same. This mission statement comes directly from Jesus Himself, “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you.” (Matthew 28:19-20 NLT)
We’re all on a journey to become more like Jesus. We are all on different walks of life, and sometimes we need someone in our lives who has walked our path before. At Journey, our view of discipleship is that of a purposeful pairing of individuals who get together regularly and do life together.
If you are looking for someone who can help you take the next step in your faith journey, let us know.
Social Gatherings
Every month, we try to get together in a fun, party-like environment where newcomers and long-time church family members alike can feel comfortable enough to meet new people and grow deeper in relationships.
Whether it’s a family game night or potluck, anyone is welcomed to attend and bring a friend or family member.
